Automotive service technicians inspect, maintain, and repair cars and trucks. They diagnose issues, perform safety checks, and specialize in systems like engines, brakes, A/C, and transmissions to keep vehicles running smoothly.

For our program, applicants should have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. You should also submit proof of graduation or equivalent certification such as:

  • A copy of their high school diploma
  • A transcript confirming high school graduation
  • A GED certificate or GED transcript reflecting passing scores
  • Other equivalent documentation

Training to become an auto service tech or a mechanic can take around six months to a year. At AAI, you can complete our training in around 13 months.

The courses covered in the program cover skills related to industry-recognized certifications like ASE exams and the EPA 609. Should you successfully complete our training, you should be ready to take these exams.
